Her Story

Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Summer grew up watching her parents build a successful air conditioning company while also managing several rental properties. After graduating from Florida State University, she began pursuing her dream of becoming a contractor, and started taking opportunities with local homebuilders; working on projects ranging from affordable production building houses to townhomes and multimillion dollar custom homes. During the recession, she was offered a Project Manager position with a Pharmaceutical Development company, and not only strengthened her efficiency and project management skills, but also realized how passionate she truly was about construction, and set her sights back on her dream. She became the top contender for a position with a custom renovation company, and worked on high end kitchens, bathrooms, and condo build outs before accepting positions focused on rehab and flipping. During this time, Summer sat for both the Building and General Contractor exams and scored above the 90th percentile in each. She started The Verano Company in May 2019 to use her knowledge, experience, attention to detail and most importantly, her integrity, to bring her Client's projects to life.
